I was reminded last weekend at a clients intimate dinner party that it's ok to think about yourself as the host. So often our clients forego what they truly want for details that they "think" or "hope" that their guests will love... and while I truly adore how kind our clients can be, it really is ok to have what you want! I have said on more than one occasion "pick the flavor of cake you want, your guests will eat it"... or "offer wine at the bar that you prefer to drink, they'll drink it". If your friends and loved ones are poo pooing free food and drinks, maybe you need to rethink your friends and loved ones. ⁠

Here's a fun tip, if you want to widen your guests pallet and broaden their horizon, offer a wine tasting bar at your cocktail hour or wedding reception to show them different varietals that you love (and maybe that they will love too!) ⁠

I saw a post recently that there is a "new trend" in rehearsal dinner photography... and truthfully, I thought to myself "new trend"? But, listen, if you're just hearing about it, then welcome to the party 🙂 Just like the new trend of disposable cameras at wedding receptions. Maybe we'll call these fun wedding details "a resurgence of good things". I'm a fan of capturing all the moments of your wedding...any way you'd like! ⁠

16 years! Happy Anniversary @antoniachristiansonevents! This ride has been a rollercoaster of emotions, incredibly hard, sometimes thankless, oftentimes overwhelming, but I have always loved seeing the fruits of my labor (and my teams labor) coming to fruition week after week. I have met so many many amazing clients, couples (and their families) over the years and in the essence of honesty... a few not so amazing. BUT, in the end, I am proud of the work I do every day, every event, every year. As ACE turns 16 today things will look a bit different, but I’m forever grateful for all I have been able to accomplish. I promise to continue educating, striving to bring the most exciting and thoughtful designs to my clients (in a way that benefits their overall vision), working with event professionals that want the best for our mutual clients, and to continue to better myself. I’m eager to share a few things I have in the pipeline, but for now, I’ll just say, keep watching...
