I’m always amazed when I think back at the blessed life I have lived with my beloved…from meeting on my moms front porch nearly 12 years ago, to celebrating our tenth anniversary in a few short months. We certainly haven’t always lived the easiest of lives together, but I definitely feel inspired in our own kind of fairytale daily.
Since James and I will celebrate ten years of marriage in September, I thought it would be fun to share with you ten things I have learned since becoming his wife. We started dating when I was a college senior and barely 21…I love thinking about how much we have grown up together, how magnificent this past decade of marriage has been and how much of our future we still have to share together.
I think one of the reasons this past decade has flown by is because we learned quickly that if you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. I remember the first day we met so vividly, and how much James made me laugh. At that point I was laughing because he talked such a big game, and I knew it…and now I just laugh because he knows me so incredibly well he always knows what to say. Like tonight, when I asked him what he has learned in a decade of marriage and his response; “I’ve
learned that I’m always right.” Oh, that brings me to next months topic of what I’ve learned in marriage, Choosing your Battles Wisely!
