Team ACE: Meet Kait
I have always felt extremely blessed to have women and men that work with me, and beside me that are as driven in their personal life, as they are a member of Team ACE. I try to share the accomplishments of our team as much as the accomplishments and beauty in the weddings that we create. Last year I shared about Lindsey and Stephanie moving away, and furthering their careers. While the “Boss” in me was devastated, for the amazing members of our ACE Family that would be leaving us, the friend in me was over the moon with pride. I feel like a proud mama bird each time that something amazing happens within our team. So, today my post is no different.
I’d like to share with you today about, Kait. Kait is an awesomely hilarious and hard working part of Team ACE, she started as an intern in the summer of 2012, and quickly became an integral part of our team dynamic throughout her senior year at James Madison University and then after her graduation. She wasn’t 100% what the world held for her after college career-wise, but she knew that passion-wise, she’d be doing something to serve others. This is why I feel like I am in the profession I am daily, to serve others. So I was encouraged when she shared with me that she not only would be leaving us for 4 months, but that she would be leaving us to serve others.
Kait is away with 2 organizations, Justice Rising and Iris Global. The first leg of her trip was to Mozambique. She has shared amazing stories with me about growing internally, the friendships that she has made, and also the huge wedding that she was able to help with (see, knowing the ins and outs of weddings can get you far in life!). She had an amazing time and really grew through the experience. The second part of her trip is to the Congo, where she currently is. Yes, she is in a U.N. declared Red Zone, for one reason, and one reason only, to serve others.
I often say that I am humbled by the experiences that I have with my team. I know, wholeheartedly that Antonia Christianson Events would not be what it is without the team that we have created. I know that my clients experience is better because of our amazing team, and that I am better because of them. If you could say a little something for Kait today, that she comes back to us safely from this amazing experience and in one piece I would be eternally grateful.
