Whew! What a whirl wind fall! We have been traveling so often and keeping super busy, our blog has fallen by the wayside, but we promise to catch you up on all of the amazingness that was the 2013 Antonia Christianson Events Wedding Season.

Each year, we post what we are most thankful for, so this year will be no different! I have had a pretty fantastic year in both my personal and professional life, so there are quite a few life changing things to be thankful for.

1. In May we put our first little home on the market. It was the house we brought our babies home to, the house we lived in when we got married, the house my boys started school in…the house of many firsts. It was definitely bitter sweet…Thankfully the week we put it up for sale someone snatched it right up!

2. Obviously, our next Thankful is our beautiful new forever home. I LOVE our new house. It doesn’t quite feel like home yet, but the moment my beloved and I walked in, we knew this was the one. It has 2 gorgeous fireplaces, a huge yard for my kiddos, and all of our best friends, literally live within a mile. It’s amazing for our babes to have their “aunts and uncles” so so so very close.

3. Wayside! The location that I have called my professional home for over 3 years is in the Wayside Village Shoppes and we have expanded this year. It is an awesome feeling to know that there are a team of professionals that can work together for the betterment of our wedding community. This year, we have added Isha Foss Events, Kristal Lane, Reverend Ken Lane and next month RSVP Stationery will begin to call this their home as well. While we all are very separate entities, with our own suites and store fronts, we still love to work together every chance we get.

4. With the expansion of Wayside, this means a new studio for us as well! I loved our little studio that was upstairs in the shoppes, but loading in and out of events, each weekend, with no elevator wasn’t fantastic. However, I was so excited and thankful to have the opporutnity to build a studio, on the ground floor, with a gorgeous bay window, hardwood floors, and a gallery wall of images. We’ve only been in this space a few weeks, but we already feel like it’s a perfect fit!

5. The ACE Expansion! Not only did we decide to move our Virginia location, we also decided at the end of last season to add an additional market in Paso Robles, California. This expansion has been exhausting to say the least…but it has opened my eyes, and the rest of our teams eyes, to the bigger picture. We love getting to know vendors in new markets, and really setting up shop in a location that we absolutely adore. We have begun making a name for ourselves out West and can’t wait to see what happens next year.

2013 has been an amazing year! We are incredibly thankful for the event professionals that we get to work with day after day. My family for being eternally selfless and allowing me to travel and follow my dreams. (Honestly, dreams that I didn’t even know were possible to follow!) And Finally, the continued support of our clients, that so graciously spread our name throughout the nation and sing our praises as loud as they can.
